Under the direct supervision of a patient PADI Instructor, you will complete a basic safety briefing, master simple skills in shallow water, and head out on a boat for a stunning 2-tank dive to a shallow coral reef and the MUSA Underwater Museum.

Cancun is famous for having some of the safest and most visually spectacular beginner dive sites on earth. The Manchones reef system and the MUSA Underwater Museum feature crystal-clear visibility, very mild currents, and maximum depths of only 30 feet (10 meters). This shallow profile gives you plenty of sunlight, long bottom times, and lets you safely get face-to-face with massive schools of blue tangs, sea turtles, and over 500 life-sized statues.

To join a beginner scuba lesson, you do not need to be an Olympic-athlete swimmer, but you must be fundamentally comfortable in water where you cannot touch the bottom. Every passenger is required to fill out a standard PADI Medical Questionnaire before entering the water. As long as you possess normal respiratory health, functional physical mobility, and basic swimming comfort, you are fully cleared to dive.
