The PADI Scuba Diver course is a shorter certification option for beginners who do not have enough time to complete the full Open Water Diver course.The program covers part of the Open Water curriculum and includes academic training, confined-water skills and two open-water training dives. After certification, PADI Scuba Divers can dive to a maximum depth of 40 feet while under the supervision of a PADI professional.

If you only want to try scuba diving, Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory program that does not require certification. If you want to become a certified diver, PADI Open Water Diver is the complete entry-level certification. PADI Scuba Diver is a shorter certification option for people with limited time.
Yes. PADI eLearning allows you to complete the academic portion online before your trip. Referral students who complete their academic and confined-water training before traveling can also finish their required open-water certification dives in Cancun.
No. PADI eLearning materials and the online course are purchased directly through PADI and are separate from the course price paid to us for your in-water training and certification dives in Cancun.
Certified divers can continue their training with courses such as PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver. Experienced divers interested in professional-level training can continue toward the PADI Divemaster course.
A scuba refresher gives certified divers an opportunity to review equipment use and important scuba skills in shallow water before returning to open-water diving. Our refresher also includes two guided ocean dives after the skill review.
Core scuba equipment is included with the courses shown on this page unless otherwise noted. Wetsuits are not included and are available to rent for $15. Specialized PADI materials required for some courses may also be separate.
