Isla Blanca is known for its extensive shallow flats and is one of the better areas near Cancun for permit, along with opportunities for tarpon, snook and bonefish. Cancun Lagoon provides protected mangrove and backcountry fishing close to the Cancun Hotel Zone, with tarpon and snook among the primary targets.
All trips are private charters, so the boat and guide are reserved for your group. Both experienced anglers and beginners are welcome, and fishing can be done with fly or light tackle.
Isla Blanca Fly Fishing Charters
Isla Blanca is a large shallow-water fishery north of Cancun with flats, lagoons and mangrove shorelines that provide habitat for permit, tarpon, snook and bonefish. It is one of our primary locations for anglers who want to sight-cast with a fly rod or fish the flats with light tackle.Permit are an important target at Isla Blanca, particularly during the warmer months, while tarpon and snook can be found around mangroves, channels and other areas throughout the fishery. Bonefish are also available, although they are encountered less frequently than permit.
Isla Blanca fishing trips are private charters for a maximum of 2 anglers. Your guide will choose where to fish based on the day's wind, tides, water conditions and the species you would most like to target.

Cancun Lagoon Fishing Charters
Cancun Lagoon offers private fly fishing and light-tackle charters in protected waters close to the Cancun Hotel Zone. The lagoon's mangrove shorelines, channels and backcountry areas provide habitat for tarpon, snook and other inshore species.Tarpon and snook are the primary targets in Cancun Lagoon and can be fished throughout the year. Permit are occasionally encountered during the warmer months, but anglers specifically interested in permit will generally have better opportunities at Isla Blanca.
Cancun Lagoon trips are private charters and can be fished with either fly or spin tackle. The protected setting also makes the lagoon a good choice for beginners while still providing challenging fishing for experienced anglers.
